Service · Positioning & messaging
Who you’re for, why you win,
and how your team says it.

15-minute intro call
What you get
- 01Positioning
Who it’s for, the alternative you replace, and why you win.
- 02Messaging house
The core message, the pillars under it and the proof for each.
- 03Audience messaging
How the story changes for each buyer, role or segment you sell to.
- 04Value propositions
Clear statements of value, written in your customers’ own words.
- 05Words to use and avoid
A shared vocabulary so the story sounds the same everywhere.
- 06One-page story
A summary anyone in the team can read in five minutes and repeat.
The distinction
Positioning decides why they choose you.
Messaging decides how you say it.
Research first, strategic choices second, messaging third, and validation throughout, so every choice rests on evidence.

Five phases,
five things you keep.
Each phase ends with a practical artifact for your website, sales, marketing, product and customer success teams.

Company & Market Brief
We establish the facts about your business, customers, market, product and alternatives, and keep verified facts, assumptions and open questions apart. So the positioning never rests on opinion.
Questions we answer- Who buys, who uses it, and why?
- Which customers convert, expand or churn?
- Is what we claim today credible?
Verified- Most wins come from finance-led teams
- Customers renew once reports run weekly
- Trials stall without a data connection
Assumptions- Mid-market teams will pay more
- IT is rarely part of the decision
Open questions- ?Why do some trials stall in week two?
- ?Who signs off on larger deals?

ICP & customer problem map
We choose whom to serve and which problem to own: this type of customer, in this situation, when the problem becomes important enough to justify a purchase.
Questions we answer- Who decides, who uses it, and who pays?
- What triggers the search?
- What do they use instead?

03 · Position
Positioning brief
We make six explicit choices: target, category, problem, value, differentiation and evidence. Including the trade-offs, because trying to be the best for everyone makes it hard to stand out.
Questions we answer- Which segment do we prioritise?
- What type of solution are we?
- Why should anyone believe us?

04 · Message
Messaging architecture
We turn the positioning into a core message, value propositions, proof and objection handling, then adapt it for every channel. The words change by channel. The positioning doesn’t.
Questions we answer- What should people remember?
- What are the main reasons to care?
- How do we answer the objections?

We test whether the story is clear, relevant, different and believable with real customers and prospects, and refine it where the evidence demands it.

FAQ
Answers to your questions.
Do we have to go through every step?
The steps stay the same, the depth changes. A company with five clients needs leadership interviews, customer discovery and competitor research. A company with hundreds of customers may need segmentation, win/loss analysis and quantitative validation. The research effort follows the evidence you have and the risk of getting it wrong.
Is the positioning statement our tagline?
No. It’s an internal strategic tool. The words customers see come from the messaging built on top of it.
Can’t we just test headlines?
Tests help, but a headline that converts well isn’t proof of sound positioning. Traffic, offer, audience and design all affect conversion. That’s why we validate with customer interviews first, and use website and sales tests after.
Is this a one-off project?
It can be. Some teams start with positioning and messaging on its own, others combine it with the materials that follow. We agree on what fits.
How does pricing work?
There are no fixed packages or rates. We first look at what you need, then agree on what fits your stage, budget and pace. That can be a project, a monthly arrangement, or a performance-based deal where our fee depends on results. It all starts with a 15-minute intro call.
